High fever...
|
|
| Quote: | 22nd December 2007 were the week of Raya Haji that was taken place a few days back, and is where most of us stay at home and eat, and eat the whole day, just like me. With a long holiday in my pocket, I decided to head up north to my original hometown, Penang to help out my old friend, http://farisabdullah.fotopages.com on one of his 'job'. In this particular assignment, besides getting some side income, it was more than a pleasure to help a friend and to enjoy myself shooting for the first time in the Pearl of the Orient.
And not to forget, the client was a familiar one, which makes the event more fun to shoot. One was the sister of my primary-school mate, and another was my senior in my secondary school. Penang island is really small place.
But, as I mentioned earlier in my post below, it was one of the most uncomfortable situations I've ever experienced in a shooting assignment. Just after I stepped my foot on the island the previous day, I got caught in a fever, quite bad. The fever continued until the shooting day. I can't remember how many Panadols I'd swallown, but the fever just getting worse. That was the reason for me missing out on the make-up session which is one of my favourite part of a wedding ceremony.
Fortunately, the bride family reserved a few rooms for their relatives to stay overnight while having a good time in Penang, so wasting no time, I took some time off for a nap (thanks Faris for not cutting down the payment ), which was a bit pleasing, but not enough to slowing down the fever at all. The whole night was like going through a military mental training, I was so high and exhausted mentally. I could barely stand on my own feet, let alone running up and down for the shots I wanted. But, being a semi-professional, and considering it was a paid job, I had to do it anyway. And I did, I did managed to get through the whole ceremony without fainting or something else as bad. Thank God for the 'extra' energy. Oh, not to forget the MOST PAINFUL sore throat I had ever experience in my life the whole time I was in Penang!
The whole experience was an experience to savor, although not a nice experience to remember in some part with the exception of Nasi Kandar and meeting old friends, but it was definitely the one not to forget. Thanks Faris for inviting me teaming up with you, hopefully we can work together again in the future, the bride & groom for their easy-going style that makes shooting a lot easier and fun, the family members which were very friendly and jay-e for 'renting' me his house to sleep a day two while I was there.
This layout was created as a sample for my custom album portfolio. All pictures were shot by me and will be used in Faris' custom album for the client. Thanks for dropping by and if you have time, just leave some comments. |
